Was today a reaction to the FED’s failure to reduce rates or the initial indication of an impending rollover? Meta had a blowout quarter, while Microsoft did not perform as well. Caterpillar had a successful quarter. The market had a major pullback today, but buyers came running. So do we make a move?
There is not a lot to talk about in this week’s post, but I will cover why I made my decision to tweak my setup and look at all our daily charts. Next week is also the last week of January, and tweaking day will be Thursday night going into Friday.
We have news. We will not be attacking Greenland. But the most important news is this: Now we wait to see……

I would like to provide a brief update on the damage that occurred today and the options I am currently considering. I see everything that happened today as totally senseless, and like many leaders around the world, they are scratching their heads. This is all I will say about the situation here.
It now appears we are going to have a rough opening in the morning. Expect a 1% drop or more on the S&P and Small Cap at 9:30. I do not think big money players are happy with this latest move by the United States.
Tomorrow, the US markets will be closed, including the pre-market session. So far 2026 has been favorable for us, but we have a couple of indexes that are not cooperating and should give us some concern. We also got some new tariff news, and I waited deliberately to post this blog so I could see…
